In August, we hosted our very first summer garden party, here at Braeburn Lodge. The paddock looked summer ready with our new garden furniture and gazebo, kindly donated by Lauren and her family. The sun shone as residents and their families enjoyed the vintage dancers entertainment, we even got to get up and have a go ourselves.

Later on, in the afternoon, we enjoyed singing from Twoz Company. Traditional outdoor games dotted the lawn, including giant noughts and crosses and hook a duck.

We had a set of wooden stocks where staff had the chance to ‘cool off’ from the heat of the day. Our talented chef, Earl, cooked up a storm with a tasty traditional barbecue. The raffle was a huge success with many generous prize donations from local companies, raising money for a pond and water feature for our residents to enjoy. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed and came to celebrate our special day with us!
