This week we took on the challenge of sharing our secret recipe brownies to sell to our family, friends and community to raise some money. Little did we know we would have a staggering 186 brownies to make! Without a doubt, we wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help from the wonderful people living at Castleford.

Our residents actively participate in most activities we run here, which is fantastic, but recently they have both wanted to develop their culinary skills and we thought this was the perfect opportunity! They have been an incredible help this week making, decorating and packing the brownies!
We asked both of them how they felt about accomplishing this challenge. One resident told us: “it was great to see the final product and they tasted amazing!” Another added: “I love to keep busy and all this baking has certainly helped me with that. I love helping the girls out whenever I can.”
