The NEC, Birmingham, hosted the Care Show on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October 2023 for two days of incredible social care activity. This is the place to go to learn about new and innovative products/schemes, listen to panels and talks, and meeting incredible people in the world of social care. Home Manager Ben attended the event on Wednesday, accompanied by Head of Lifestyles, Amelia, and Senior Carer, Fiona, toenjoy the first day. A notable highlight was witnessing Amelia and Care Assistant, Angel McKenzie, being inducted into the inaugural“Thirty Under 30”.

Later, Ben took to the stage as a speaker alongside esteemed figures, Zoe Fry and Samantha Crawley, directors of The Outstanding Society, and Karolina Gerlich, Executive Director of the Care Worker’s Charity. Together, they engaged in a compelling discussion on mental health in social care, which was later hailed as one of the most inspirational talks of the whole show on social media.The event proved to be an incredible source of learning and inspiration, offering invaluable insights to take back with us.
