The Lodge at Castleford is a stand alone unit run by our fantastic team that care for people with assisted living needs. As we continually assess the suitability of the care, activities and facilities that we provide, it was highlighted that residents either staying with us long or short term had shown interest in fitness activities. Although The Lodge staff are happy to take residents to local sports centres to cater for individual interests, it was decided that it would be of huge benefit to install a dedicated fitness suite within the home itself. Our lovely resident Tom Bendall, having always been a fitness fanatic was the first to test out the new equipment and was more than happy to take part in our ‘fitness photoshoot’ to showcase the rowing machine, range of core balance balls, resistance bands and frames! We look forward to hearing more from the team as others enjoy the new facility.
