The Royal Garrison Church in Aldershot hosted The Longest Yarn, a knitted and crocheted exhibition featuring contributions from many people. The exhibit told the story of D-Day and reflected various events from that time. This exhibition was only in Aldershot from November 1st to 18th before it was set to travel to America and then return to Paris, where it all began. Jean, Ronnie, and Wendy were all keen to see the exhibition. We took them to the church to explore the different projects on display. Everyone was deeply impressed by the creativity of the wide range of re-enactments. We had a thoughtful discussion about the level of detail and work involved in the knitting and crochet, as well as the unique stories behind each display.
