Yesterday afternoon the doors to the pub opened and we met in the Castleford Arms to watch Wales v England in the rugby.
Severn Lounge was transformed into a sports bar, serving traditional ‘pub grub’ – burger and chips with a pint of cider! What more could you want to watch the rugby with? We had some great reviews about the food , who said: “oh, I love a good burger.”
With the second half getting intense, one of our Englishmen, had no fear. He told us: “if you want to see Wales win, you better not watch this match!” Tensions rose with the Welsh and English competing in the pub!
With a final score of 23-19 to England, the game was finished. One resident celebrated the victory dancing around the pub with Ashley, one of our Health Care Assistants
