At the request of of one the residents, today we have done some baking! Because it is “World Chocolate Day” we decided to make a chocolate cake! Two of the ladies took charge of the activity! They weighed and combined the ingredients and greased the cake tins. The gentleman also got in on the action to make sure the mixture was combined perfectly and ready to bake! The other residents helped decide how we would decorate the cake. One suggested some “caramel on top” and another suggested “chocolate and lots of it!”, which we think they accomplished! Everyone sampled the cake and the feedback was extremely positive! One resident told us: “it’s so lovely, I loved making it” and another added: “it’s light, chocolatey and gorgeous, well done!”
