Today, to celebrate the brilliantness that is Willy Wonka, we held a themed party at Castleford!
We transformed the Severn lounge into the chocolate factory by decorating it with balloons, candies and a back drop, which were all fitting with the theme!
Lots of people joined us in the fun and have had the full Willy Wonka experience by dressing up as the characters from the book and film and we have all eaten copious amounts of sweets and chocolate, true Willy Wonka style!
We took some of the magic from the party up to one of our residents, who was over the moon with this. She did not hesitate to get dressed up with us and indulge on some of the treats! She said: “what a perfect cake and perfect outfits – well done!”. Another resident, who was the life of the party, enjoyed dancing, singing and eating lots of chocolate! We asked her if she had a good time at the party and she told us: “I’ve had a brilliant afternoon, thank you for inviting me!”
