Today one of our residents has been granted her wish and we have accompanied her shopping to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway
When the pandemic hit we, unfortunately, had to put ‘Wishing Tree Trips’ on hold as most of the wishes were to go on trips. Now that places are opening back up we are able to facilitate people going out and about once again! The ‘Wishing Tree’ was something we implemented before COVID. It was a project that enabled people to make wishes about things they had either always wanted to do or really want to do now and we would do our utmost to fulfil them.
To kick off these fantastic trips again we visited The Mall for one resident to shop until she dropped! We visited multiple shops, buying anything she desired! We also enjoyed a Boost smoothie and a Burger King at her request.
She returned to Castleford with a huge smile on her face, showing off what she brought to her friends and the team. She said: “I’ve had a wonderful time, it was brilliant to go shopping and I had lovely company with me too.
