Woodland Walk at Mallards Pike

Posted on October 14, 2021 by Milkwood Admin

Friends, Muriel and Liz, enjoyed a relaxing afternoon walk at Mallards Pike in the Forest Of Dean.
Both ladies were happy to be out and about in the lovely autumn sunshine, where they took in the wonderful scenery.
“It’s so nice to see the all the different trees and to see the ducks on the water.” said Liz.
They even spotted several squirrels who were busy foraging for their winter food supply. During the walk, they watched the local school children take part in a canoe lesson on the lake. Both Muriel and Liz were amused to see the children having so much fun. “We didn’t have anything like this when we were at school.“ said Muriel, who thought it looked very exciting. “We have been lucky with the weather this afternoon.”commented Muriel, as they enjoyed a cup of tea and cake together at the cafe after their walk.
The pair hope to be back to Mallards Pike very soon and spend another enjoyable afternoon in the countryside.
