We had a fun filled Halloween this year! Our staff dressed up in scary costumes, we all got creative with our pumpkin carving and helped to decorate the house in all things ghoulish and spooky. Residents were treated to some great entertainment from Nick the magician, whilst tucking into handfuls of tasty sweets.

We held a book character day! Our residents and staff dressed up as a character from one of their favourite books. The characters included Hilda Ogden, Sterling Moss, Churchill, Little Red Riding Hood, Florence Nightingale and many more. We were once again, joined by the incredible flutist Sarah Waycott. Our residents really enjoy Sarah’s music, and always leave the afternoon with huge smiles on their faces.

Our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a great success. Residents and family, together with the staff at Ganarew House enjoyed the Coffee Morning while fundraising.

Rita our Deputy Manager at Chatterwood, loves dogs and has recently bought a brown and white puppy, who she has named Darcy. Rita bought Darcy into the home and all the residents fell in love with her.

Angela, a resident at Castleford, wanted to make a special gift for her daughter. Beth decided to take on the challenge and together they created a lovely bracelet! Angela carefully wrapped their masterpiece and crafted a special gift tag especially for her daughter. Karen, Angela’s daughter was delighted with the gift.

Margaret celebrated her birthday with some music and a tea party at The Orchard.
