We welcomed back two of our favourite entertainers, Gwyn the drummer and singer, Mandy Ann, as well as many others… including one cello player! As always, our residents enjoyed dancing and singing along.

We decided it was time we added to our brood at Applewood. Making Laura run after them like a headless chicken was also highly entertaining…

As always, we have had lots of entertainment in our home. We have enjoyed musical performances from Miranda, Tea For Two, Victor Munroe and Just Add Sparkle – all of whom put huge smiles on our residents’ faces. As well as musical entertainment, Nick the magician brought with him plenty of mind boggling tricks.

Our girls at Ganarew like to be out and about while we still have the nice crisp autumn days with us.

The majority of our Chatterwood staff took part in a 12 hour cycle challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Beth and Francesca put some ABBA on and got everybody singing and dancing with pompoms. The gentle exercises that went with the songs were enjoyed by all.

We love our weekly dance and movement therapy sessions! It’s great to see everybody getting involved, including our bed patients.

Adeline, Joan and Elaine from Ganarew are off out on a lovely Sunny Autumn morning for tea. Served in china cups and saucers, not found very often these days, with Costa Coffee and such like. The Girls loved the antique charm of this lovely tea and coffee shop and Adeline loved the white flowers that covered a pergola.
