Tom assisted John and Jean when they counted the number of cake cases needed, then carefully added even amounts of cake mix to the individual baking cases, topping each one with chocolate smarties for decoration. After they were baked until golden, they were left to cool ready for all to enjoy.

Thanks to regular testing and vaccinations, we have been able to retain the services of Dan Hines and Mel Bowkett to keep the clients fit and well during lockdown. Braeburn welcomed little frenchy puppy Romeo today. Yasemin is sharing him with the home and he definitely passed his first meet and greet! Safe to say everyone is very excited for him to begin next week. He was SO gentle and loving, it was so beautiful to watch!

Our cook loves it when there’s an extra pair of hands helping to wash, peel and cook fresh vegetables for our residents’ lunch. This very valued helper made sure that these green beans were in perfect condition, ready for cooking and serving to our residents.

Iris chose to bake cherry cupcakes this week, mixing all the ingredients together then scooping the mixture into cases. Very well done Iris! This activity took some time but we all agreed it was well worth all the effort.

We had great fun creating our own flavoured chocolate. We made delicious chocolate slabs with a variety of different flavourings. The people we care for had a great time creating the concoctions. Once chilled we are very much looking forward to sampling them.
