Lavender Bags

These ladies made beautifully scented keepsake bags.

Today we have made this beautiful Victoria Sponge! The two lovely residents have worked together brilliantly taking it in turns to stir the ingredients and, of course, tasting the mixture! (They both agreed this was tradition.) We have then iced and decorated the cake and then inevitably eaten it all up .The cake looked fantastic…

Activity Day

Our day was filled with so many activities today! We started off the morning with some balloon activities to get all the residents moving. Then a few of the ladies planted some new bulbs ready for the Spring. The gents got busy with clay then we finished the day off with some music!

Bingo and Coffee Morning

Today these lovely ladies started off the morning with a cup of coffee, some biscuits and a game of Bingo! It was great way to start the day.

Chocolate Tasting

What better way to kick off the new year than having a chocolate tasting afternoon! We had toffees, fudge, buttons and everybody’s favourite, The KitKat finger! Everyone enjoyed the sweet treat and we finished it off with some tasty hot chocolates!

Morning Exercise

Jean and Alex are pictured playing balloon tennis together. This is Jean’s favourite activity and she always participates in this active game. Jean is very good at batting and serving the balloon during a 1-1 or group activity.

Soap Making

Today, we have got creative and made our own soap! We started by melting down plain glycerine soap and using different colours, flavours and flowers. We created our own individual soaps- which smell absolutely beautiful! The people we care for have done a fantastic job!

Flower Arranging

We received so many flowers over Christmas, we set to work arranging them in vases to display around the home.

Happy New Year from Braeburn!

Happy new year from us all at Braeburn. We decided to see out 2020 with a 1920’s theme! Lots of balloons, cocktails, takeaway pizza and nibbles, along with music and dancing!
