These cheerful displays in our home were created by our lovely ladies – Elizabeth, Jinny, Jean and Barbara. They chose a selection of colourful flowers – including carnations and tulips. Fun In The Sun

We took advantage of the sunnier days we’ve been having and decided to have a little mooch in the garden. We checked on the duck pond and to see how our fruit was growing. We then had a well deserved break in the sunshine, with a little visit from Romeo!

Residents’ Birthdays

Three of our residents celebrated birthdays in February – Mrs Heather Rippon, Mr JV Edwards and Mr Melvyn Blanchard.The kitchen made birthday cakes for the trio and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to them.

The Milkwood Pottery Throwdown!

Jordan and the residents have been making pots. These are coiled pots and hand built using air drying clay. The residents had so much fun making these and once fully dried, they will be painted and varnished. Cake Making

Christine, Judith, Edith and Gwen had an enjoyable afternoon making cakes. Edith didn’t want to ice hers, she just fancied eating them as they were, and quickly, as the baking aromas were so irresistible.

Creative Crafting

Many of our residents regularly enjoy spending an hour or two relaxing with a quiet, creative activity. It’s always lovely to see their finished masterpieces and their smiles full of pride!

On Monday 15th March, for the first time in a long time, we had the pleasure of a COVID-safe Environmental Health inspection in our kitchen. Thoughts & Wishes Tree

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed helping to make a “Thoughts and Wishes tree to go display at the home. It’s a lovely feature to the home and the residents love sharing all their thoughts and wishes with one another.
