Easter Fun

We have been very busy here at Braeburn getting ready for the Easter weekend. The ladies have been busy making easter goodies for everyone to enjoy and we have had great fun making some Easter crafts!

Fruity Friday

Our residents always love nibbling on fruit!These mini kebabs and pots with avocado, banana, orange, pineapple, honeydew melon and satsuma were very popular.

Easter Baking

We made a delicious cheesecake and decorated biscuits for Easter, then enjoyed tucking into them for afternoon tea.

Our Lunch Out

Today we took our residents out for lunch. Les and Pam both said it was so nice to finally eat out, after two long years.

Easter Crafts

Another busy day – we carried on with our Easter cards and made a start on our display. We also had fun with balloon tennis this morning and this afternoon we got our senses going with some taste and smell – some nice some not so much and finished with a walk in the garden.

Callie the Cat

In January, we introduced a new addition to the Castleford family, Callie the cat!Callie is a ‘dementia companion pet’ and is very realistic. The research behind these fantastic animals suggests that they are valuable in enhancing well-being, communication and other behavioural aspects. Music & Movement Session

Today has been a busy day! We started with some music and movement then onto some crafts making Easter cards and then some games….I think a good movie is in order this evening – we’ve earned it.
