Pancake Day

Our resident’s had a flippin’ good day on Shrove Tuesday. They showed us some great flipping techniques and the pancakes tasted delicious!

Our residents had a fabulous time celebrating St David’s Day with a full lunch menu, complete with Welsh Cakes of course! Later we popped on some music and all had a good old dance and sing song! A great day was had by all!

Mardi Gras

Today we celebrated Mardi Gras for the first time! Mardi Gras, commonly known as ‘Fat Tuesday’, is usually celebrated before Ash Wednesday, when people traditionally start lent. Even though we won’t be doing lent at Castleford (as no one here is prepared to give up cake or wine), we have enjoyed indulging on pancakes and…

St David’s Day

Our residents had a fabulous St David’s Day, we think they look pretty lovely dressed as Daffodils.

Making Trifles

We’ve had a lovely morning making trifles. We think the ladies have done a fab job , they look delicious!

Delvis

It was great to see Dale again, after not being able to have entertainment for a few weeks. Edith and Ethel bagsied front row seats and really enjoyed watching Delvis, they were also happy singing along with him.

Frame of Fame

Today our residents have a really fun day with the frame of fame! They were keen to show their fame with the groovy glasses and hats!Hats off for Coco for joining in!

Celebrations

We’ve had a month of celebrations at Ganarew, Jill celebrated her birthday and anniversary and Pat celebrated her 102nd Birthday! What an achievement!
