Making Pasties

This morning we have turned our hands to preparing corned beef and onion pasties, everybody enjoyed, it looks like we have some hidden cooks in the building!

Shareen surprised our residents one afternoon, when she brought her pet dog, Coco, and chickens, Beryl and Millie, into the home for a visit.Our residents really enjoy occasions when our furry and feathered visitors come in to see us. It’s lovely for them to be in the company of animals and to enjoy a stroke…

Love Is In The Air

Love is in the air today at The Mountains as some of our residents have been decorating valentines cards and some have been baking to celebrate Valentines Day!

Valentines Day

Our residents were all smiles this Valentines Day. Ready to tuck into a special Valentines lunch, complete with heart-shaped chocolates and shortbread. Happy Valentines from Ganarew!

Valentine’s Arts & Crafts

Julie made Valentine’s cards and decorated hearts with some of the residents. Neil made a card, and Julie posted it to his friend, who lives in Australia, which Neil was really pleased about. Ethel and Robert enjoyed decorating hearts for their families.

Love is in the air!

Love was in the air this Valentine’s Day in our home. Residents were treated to a fabulous afternoon tea, specially prepared by our talented cooks, Paulina and Kay. Everyone agreed the cakes were delicious and beautifully presented. Residents also had fun making cards and pendants, which added to the loveliness of this special day.

Valentine’s Day

Our chef made a wonderful meal for everyone to enjoy at lunch time. Supper was a beautiful buffet of homemade quiche, spring rolls, salad and fresh fruit salads, which everyone enjoyed whilst listening to old favourite love songs.

Valentines Day

The ladies enjoyed a pre-Valentine’s Day pampering afternoon with some bubbly and heart shaped treats. We also did some baking for Valentines, a lot of love went into the treats that these ladies baked for us all to share on 14th February. The cakes were delicious.
