You can see how these ladies were delighted to be going out on their first trip on the minibus to see the new lambs in the fields near our home. It was a lovely trip and everyone enjoyed a change of scenery.

Look at the array of delicious looking birthday cakes we have here! These residents really enjoyed their special days.

Applewood residents love any excuse to celebrate and Easter is always a favourite time of year. We exchanged Easter eggs, crafted hats and baked beautifully decorated cakes.

These ladies made crowns to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.

Some of our residents rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into a baking activity. Once the sweet treats were in the oven, the smells wafting around the house from the kitchen were mouth-watering!

Many of our residents like to relax with games like Suduko or Chess and crosswords help to keep our minds alert. It looks as though our staff are a little bit too relaxed here! They’ve fallen asleep on the giant Snakes & Ladders!

Our residents hopped and bopped at our Easter celebrations. Dancing is a very popular activity in our happy home.

It wouldn’t have been Easter without a wonderful selection of beautiful bonnets – modelled below by our happy residents. Easter is all about sweet treats, so we decided to make cupcakes and a beautifully iced cake to enjoy with cups of tea.

Many of our residents regularly enjoy spending an hour or two relaxing with a quiet, creative activity. It’s always lovely to see their finished masterpieces and their smiles full of pride!
