Braeburn Lodge

Although November 5th was a little cold, it did not stop our residents braving the wind to enjoy sparklers, hots dogs and burgers.We also enjoyed marshmallows, which went down a treat!!

Our ladies have been busy today flower arranging. Thanks to the coop for the lovely donation of flowers.

Amanda could not wait for Halloween and was chasing staff to model the outfits. Our maintenance man, Lucian, preferred the alien look!!The game of the day was a sensory, what’s in the box game. Everything from jelly to toy furry mice and coconuts. The residents thought it was hysterical.

Today our residents took part in some arts and crafts all with a Halloween theme. We started by making some hanging decorations, watch this space to us transform Braeburn into our very own spooky home!

Today we dressed as pirates and had a sing along and some games ,you will be pleased to hear that no one walked the plank!

Lovely afternoon outing to the garden centre, for hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. The ladies loved their treat, it was delicious!

We had great fun this morning getting crafty and making some salt dough pumpkins ready for Halloween! The ladies have done a fantastic job, I’m sure you’ll agree!

Don’t you just love technology?? Our residents most certainly did whilst using new apps and filters on the smartphone. The residents had a session of taking selfies – there was so much laughter and everyone was keen to share the results! We all loved trying the pink hair style – we will maybe think about…

Martyn made friends with Bella the barn owl. Diana enjoyed the visiting birds, but liked them at a distance.

International music day can only mean one thing! Any excuse for a boogie at our home – strictly eat your heart out! We played a different song from different parts or the country and world, we even did some singing in the rain!
