Nothing says bank holiday quite like cocktails, (non-alcoholic of course). We decided to have some Friday cocktails, complete with tiny umbrellas!

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed helping to make a “Thoughts and Wishes tree to go display at the home. It’s a lovely feature to the home and the residents love sharing all their thoughts and wishes with one another.

To celebrate St Patrick’s Day we had a go at making our very own shortbread Shamrock’s. Our gents got to work rolling the dough and cutting out the Shamrock shape. They turned out great and tasted delicious too!

Nannette enjoyed celebrating her birthday with this delicious trifle and some beautiful cards and flowers from her wonderful family!

We asked the residents what their favourite kind of food was! Italian food was a firm favourite amongst the residents, so we decided to put on a truly elaborate Italian feast! We had a aperitivo starter , then some delicious pasta dishes and to finish a lemon cheesecake and Tiramisu. The meal was FANTASTICO!

We had a wonderful day here at Ganarew House celebrating Mother’s Day. Our residents received beautiful bouquets of flowers and some lovely cards and presents. We then had a delicious afternoon tea, complete with chocolate eclairs to finish the day.

Our lovely Joan Robins celebrated her 90th birthday! How amazing does she look?Talking of amazing, one of our wonderful cooks, Emma – one of Joan’s granddaughters – made her this absolutely amazing cake! Everyone agreed that Emma is truly talented.

We celebrated St David’s Day in style! We hung our Welsh flag proudly, arranged our daffodils to set up around the home and of course tucked in to some delicious Welsh cakes!

Wishing our wonderful resident, Pat a very Happy Birthday today! She received so many beautiful flowers and enjoyed her big birthday celebration!
