We decided to start the week with some dancing! We popped on some tunes and got grooving, it was a great form of exercise!

We set up our dining room beautifully, with handmade light up vases and roses on each table for our Valentines Day Tea. We were all prepared to celebrate Chinese New Year. The year of the Ox. Chinese for lunch today. On the menu today was, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Crispy Seaweed and some mixed hors d’oeuvres and it went down a treat! Our residents had a fabulous time making their own cards to give to their loved ones for Valentines Day. We also made some beautiful light up bottles which will go on our tables for our Valentines Lunch this weekend.

We had a day at the races this afternoon with a spot of horse racing! The residents had great fun placing their bets and watching the race.

We had a fun afternoon here at Ganarew House with our new target practice game. The resident’s turned out to be rather competitive!

We had a fabulous evening celebrating Burns Night. We all chatted about the traditions and even had a go on the bagpipes! We then had a traditional meal complete with haggis and a dram of whisky! Great fun was had by all.

What better way to kick off the new year than having a chocolate tasting afternoon! We had toffees, fudge, buttons and everybody’s favourite, The KitKat finger! Everyone enjoyed the sweet treat and we finished it off with some tasty hot chocolates!

We received so many flowers over Christmas, we set to work arranging them in vases to display around the home.
