Milkwood

Today our lovely residents have had a real farm experience! They all enjoyed the company of the animals. Residents from Chatterwood nursing home joined us as well and we all had great fun! A big thank you to the Mill Cottage Farm Experience team for this brilliant day!

Thank you to The Flying Bull Inn at Rake yesterday for hosting such a wonderful afternoon tea party for our Resident and Relative get together. We always enjoy coming to see you and to Mell and crew for entertaining us! We will see you again soon!

Today our residents spent time in their garden doing a general garden tidy up around the vegetable patch! They also did some weeding and admired our first pumpkin and our extraordinary sunflowers!

Who doesn’t love puppy cuddles?! Thank you Charlotte for bringing little Freddie in to see us! He’s so cute!

Residents enjoy games that help to keep them fit and improve their hand/eye coordination. This is one of their favourites – you can see some great throws at the target have been made here!

We chose to have a creative afternoon today, and got out the paints for some well needed art therapy. Our residents enjoyed their painting afternoon.

Residents spent time outside making clay models and pots. Before everything is fired, they will be painted.

Now that we’re enjoying better weather, many of the residents are getting involved with gardening. It’s a favourite summer hobby for many and it’s lovely to see plants appearing.
