Les had his work cut out for him when he decided to plant early potatoes. Look at his hard work and concentration!

We have been busy flower arranging and making a thank you card for the prime minister.

We have been sowing seeds in the garden, ready to grow our fresh vegetables this summer. Jim and Desmond prepared the flower bed ready for them to sow some seeds. They sowed bright flower varieties including poppies, pansies and godetia.

These residents had a great time making Easter bonnets. As you can see from the photos, the ladies all enjoyed wearing their finished head attire too! Beautiful!

We had a busy birthday month here at Milkwood, we celebrated, Barbara’s, John’s, Joyce and Joy’s birthdays!

Jordan and the residents have been making pots. These are coiled pots and hand built using air drying clay. The residents had so much fun making these and once fully dried, they will be painted and varnished. This is a great activity for enabling our residents to be creative and keeps the hands nimble and…

Quite rightly, our ladies were spoiled on Mother’s Day! Cards, gifts and flowers filled our home. There were also quite a few smiles on the faces of our lady residents who were very happy to be treated by their families.

Our talented bakers set to work making muffins for everyone to enjoy. We recently purchased new cooking equipment, especially for our residents to use. The bake off was a great success – to have fresh cakes with afternoon tea was magic.

Valentines Day at Milkwood. We did some beautiful card making, love songs sing along, and Valentine’s supper.

With the snow outside, we wanted to make sure our birds in the garden still had food to eat, so we made them some treats to hang outside.
