Sara, Tracy, Jordan and Sophie have completed the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk, which was held on Sunday 24th September. They joined 2500 other people, some of whom who where relatives of residents within our home, at the start line, ready for a 7km walk in order to raise money for charity. Earlier in the summer, residents at Applewood went on the Jane Austen bench trail to try and find the specially designed benches across Hampshire to commemorate 200 years since her passing. They only managed to find two which have been beautifully modelled by Audrey, Joan and Paddy!

Staff at Ganarew House have established their very own competitive game… titled ‘Guess The Name Of The Bear‘. The competition went down well with the ladies! Pat, pictured here with one of our Senior Care Assistants, Mo, is the latest winner of the competition! A huge well done to Pat for guessing the name correctly!

Tickled Pink, joined us to perform their summer show ‘Juke Box Jive ‘. Everyone had a brilliant time, and as you can see from the pictures below, there were plenty of smiles all round!

The activities team took Margaret and George, residents at The Mountains, to the Freedom Parade in Brecon.

Dance & Movement’s Louise Money comes in once a week to The Mountains, to have a dance with everyone, she gets everyone moving and exercising. All residents get involved, including bed patients.
