Our WI ladies made an excellent job of making the Applewood Christmas Cake – it was done in three stages:
Stage 1: The soaking of all the fruit in a lot of brandy (fortunately they didn’t get tipsy on the fumes) and making the cake. Stage 2: Rolling out marzipan and icing the cake. Stage 3: Adding decorations to finalise this splendid, delicious cake.
