Applewood

Applewood celebrated the Jubilee weekend in style, with non-stop activities and entertainment.

We didn’t forget Fathers Day – all the chaps were treated like royalty for the day.

It was a jolly occasion when we got the music going and enjoyed a dance and some tunes from the musical, Mamma Mia.

The sun has been out recently and so we have enjoyed several days getting out in the garden for fresh air, chats and rays.

Residents have enjoyed a few outings out over the last few weeks – we’ve been to tea rooms, pubs, garden centres and shopping.

Easter was a very busy time at Applewood with various activities laid on, not forgetting the long-awaited Easter egg hunt!

This mealtime cooking activity was enjoyed so much by some of our residents, that it is now a regular feature on our menu.

The sun came out, so off we went for a trip in the minibus. Our residents enjoyed a McDonalds picnic on the minibus and we sat and watched the world go by.

Pancake Day was a flipping good day with lots of pancake flipping. Our residents enjoyed choosing their own toppings.

The ladies enjoyed a pre-Valentine’s Day pampering afternoon with some bubbly and heart shaped treats. We also did some baking for Valentines, a lot of love went into the treats that these ladies baked for us all to share on 14th February. The cakes were delicious.
