Braeburn Lodge

We took advantage of the sunnier days we’ve been having and decided to have a little mooch in the garden. We checked on the duck pond and to see how our fruit was growing. We then had a well deserved break in the sunshine, with a little visit from Romeo!

On 17th March we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day at Braeburn Lodge. The residents spent the morning making leprechaun hats to wear and Amanda got everyone up and dancing to Irish folk songs. All our wonderful ladies received some beautiful flowers, cards and presents on Mother’s Day from their loved ones. One resident even received a beautiful hand-knitted blanket, which she was thrilled with! For lunch we tucked in to a delicious afternoon tea.

This year celebrates ‘The Year of the Ox’ in the Chinese calendar. For Chinese New Year, we decorated the home with Chinese dragons and oxen made by Margaret, Beryl and Sandra. To celebrate Burn’s Night, we had a traditional lunch, with all the trimmings. We even had Bill playing the bagpipes whilst we tucked in. Bill played outside the dining room in the grounds, we heard him loud and clear with the windows open!!!
