The Mountains

WOW! These birthday cakes looked simply amazing! They also tasted wonderful accompanied by big cups of tea.

We have had a wonderful Easter Sunday here at The Mountains. We have been baking, creating and tasting!

Gillian has been planting our first plants of the spring.

Three of our residents celebrated birthdays in February – Mrs Heather Rippon, Mr JV Edwards and Mr Melvyn Blanchard.The kitchen made birthday cakes for the trio and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to them.

We had a good old music and movement session along with some St Patrick’s Day celebrations, all washed down with a nice cold pint.

To begin the Mother’s Day celebrations each of the residents have written a little message either to their Mam or about being a Mam. We displayed these messages on our beautiful Happy Mother’s Day wall for everyone to read and smile. Our residents received some lovely cards and finished the day with an afternoon tea.

We had a beautiful St David’s Day here at The Mountains. Full of arranging daffodils, crafting and a Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu full of Welsh delicacies.

We had a double celebration today for Valentine’s Day and also Heather’s birthday! We had a good old sing song and a dance, we even had a wonderful performer to come and perform at the window, it was a great day! Postcards of kindness arrived today for the residents from lovely students of St. Edwards’s Catholic First School, Windsor. Thank you for the lovely drawings and messages. They made our residents very happy.

We had a day full of activities! Some of our residents opted for a jigsaw puzzle, whilst some enjoyed our cake decorating activity. Gillian and Heather even had a go at using our interactive TV to complete a jigsaw puzzle!
