Care Assistants Denise and Kirsty were recently promoted to Senior Carers on the day shift. Well done to you both. We’re pleased you’ve settled well into your new roles. Also we would like to say a big welcome to John Hall who has recently joined us and is settling in very well!

We went over to the Isle of Wight for the day on the Hovercraft from Southsea. Once we arrived on the island we went to Ryde Castle for a three course lunch. Here are a few photos from this fun day out!

Stephanie (manager) celebrated her 21 years of working at The Mountains nursing home in July. She worked as an RMN before becoming a manager. Staff celebrated by bringing in a cake and buying Stephanie gifts. We toasted her 21 years and really embarrassed her!

In the summer budget, Chancellor George Osborne announced the introduction of a new National Living Wage. This will replace the Minimum Wage and is set to become law in April 2016. The wage will be for all workers over 25 years old and will be set at £7.60 in 2016. The wage will rise annually…
